James Price Photography was born out of passion, determination, and a love for storytelling through the lens. My journey began in 2016 when I received my first Canon Rebel EOS 6 on Christmas Eve. The moment I opened that package, I knew I had found my calling. I was just a freshman in high school, eager to learn and experiment with photography. Since professional clients weren’t lining up to hire a 16-year-old, I turned to my friends and family, asking if they would let me take their photos.
What started as a hobby quickly became a business. I was captivated by the ability to freeze time, to tell stories through images, and to create memories that people could cherish forever. With every photoshoot, my skills improved, my confidence grew, and my passion deepened. I officially launched James Price Photography, dedicating myself to providing high-quality, professional photography services.
While I never had a physical studio until this year, that never stopped me from capturing stunning images. My work has taken me everywhere—from cozy in-home sessions to outdoor landscapes and on-location shoots. I specialize in portraits, events, and creative photography, always aiming to make my clients feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera.
My high school experience played a huge role in shaping my skills. I graduated from Yorktown High School in 2020, where I was actively involved in Student Publications. This program gave me hands-on experience in journalism, video production, and photography. I helped design the yearbook, created news videos for the school, and had the opportunity to photograph sports events, school functions, and community gatherings.
Now, with nearly a decade of experience, James Price Photography continues to grow. My mission is simple: to capture the moments that matter most and turn them into timeless keepsakes. Whether it’s a family session, a special event, or a creative portrait, I strive to make every shot meaningful and authentic.
